To get started, name your project and add as many tasks as needed with appropriate time estimates for each. For example, it can look like this:

Here are some tips to help you get better estimates:

  1. Break down the project into smaller tasks: Breaking the project into smaller, more manageable tasks will help you understand its scope and the amount of time needed to complete each task.

  2. Use historical data: If you have completed similar projects in the past, use data from those projects to estimate the time needed for the current project.

  3. Involve team members: Team members can provide valuable input on the time needed to complete specific tasks, so involve them in the estimation process.

  4. Use optimistic, pessimistic, and realistic estimates: Use optimistic, pessimistic, and realistic estimates to create a range of possible outcomes. This will help you plan for potential delays or unforeseen circumstances.

Once you have added all your tasks, click on "Calculate". The result will show you the estimated time needed to complete the project.

From there, you can add or delete tasks, or adjust their time estimates as needed in sidebar form. You can also click on "Download PDF" to save the estimate to your device. This is the only way to save estimates as an unregistered user.

So, you want to add more team members to estimates and save your projects for later referencing for future estimates? Say no more. Register (If you do't pick an avatar, an awesome Panda will be assigned to you), and then follow these steps.

  1. Create an organisation, you will have easy link once you log in.
  2. Your organisation dashboard will look something like this, from here you can add more users, define sections inside your organisation and create projects for estimation:
  3. Let's first add a new user:

That user will be added to the organisation, and if they already don't have an account, will be sent a URL to their email to setup their account.
    Simple for them right?
  4. Go to sections part in your dashboard and create a section, for example we have this:
  5. Only thing left is to create a project. Pick a name and add people for estimation. Each project can have multiple sections and each section can have multiple people making estimates for it. Each user that is added will receive an invite on their email for estimation.
  6. Users can now estimate, they can define further sub sections for easier distribution of tasks into meaningful units. All tips for public estimates also apply here. Tasks can also be left on their own. All tasks inside sections and sub sections are sortable between themselves, just drag and drop. Tasks can also be dragged out and into sub sections with ease.
  7. Once the estimates are done, PDF file can also be downloaded with ease. Button is located at the bottom of the page
